Belushi Blasted

John Belushi -- whose drug habits ranged from occasional valium and marijuana to daily doses of cocaine, mescaline, amphetamines, barbiturates, and Quaaludes -- once barged into the office of legendary talent agent Michael Ovitz to deliver an overdue script. He was so incoherent that Ovitz was obliged to summon a pair of employees from the mail room to help him find his way out of the building.

[Following Belushi's death in March, 1982, his friend Cathy Evelyn Smith explained that he had been drinking on the night he died: "He was working on a screenplay that dealt with vintage wine-making," she said, "so he was drinking wine."]
