In January 2003, KISS and Aerosmith announced plans to join forces and tour together in the coming summer. "They could call it the Tongue and Lips Tour," Salon's Amy Reiter suggested.

Some time later, it was pointed out that the bands had first played together more than three decades before. "On the other hand," Reiter remarked, "maybe they should call it the Dentures and Bifocals Tour!"
