In August 2003, rap music legend Ice Cube was not amused to learn that the Chicago Police Department had released television reports and bulletins describing a wanted rape suspect as "resembling Ice Cube." (Several television stations accompanied their stories with clips from his videos.)

"He [the suspect] had a headband, no beard, different facial structure," the rapper's spokesman Matt Labov remarked. "Both guys are black. That's it."

[The two men, one observer remarked, bore about as close a resemblance as Eminem and Jack Black. Chicago police later issued an apology.]
