"They thought I was crazy and teased me because I'd talk in strange voices," Tamala Jones recalled of her high school years. "I grew up with a lot of different kids because my grandmother had all these foster children, and I would imitate them. I brought that to school. It was great in drama class, but in everyday school, I was all talk. I never even dated, so everyone thought I was buggy. I dressed strange, making up my own versions of what models in Vogue were wearing. I must have looked pretty wild... I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there."
Tamala's nickname? "Weird Al Yank-o-bitch."
