Dylan Thomas's wife Caitlin bore the brunt of Thomas's womanizing, drunkenness, unemployment, and domestic helplessness. On one occasion, according to biographer Andrew Lycett, Caitlin asked her husband to make a cup of tea, and "he came back with a curious greasy concoction, explaining he could not find a top for the pot, so had covered it with half a pound of cheese."
