"George Lazenby, a male model and onetime Marlboro Man, was hand-picked by Bond producer Albert 'Cubby' Brocolli to play James Bond in the film On Her Majesty's Secret Service after Sean Connery quit the series in 1967.

"Brocolli offered Lazenby a second Bond film, but the actor turned it down and went sailing for 15 months, figuring he'd still be famous when he got back. Bad idea.While he was at sea, Connery returned to the Bond series and did Diamonds Are Forever.
