"That line in 'Folsom Prison Blues,' the one that still gets the biggest rise out of my audiences -- 'I shot a man in Reno just watch him die' -- is imaginative, not autobiographical," Johnny Cash once remarked. "I sat with my pen in my hand, trying to think up the worst reason a person could have for killing another person, and that's what came to mind. It did come to mind quite easily, though."
