George W. Bush: Canadian Hospitality

In November 2004, President George W. Bush traveled to Ottawa to meet with Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin. Though he was greeted by thousands of angry protestors, Bush later thanked many of his neighbors to the north: "I want to thank the Canadian people," he said, "who came out to wave -- with all five fingers -- for their hospitality."
