Johnny Cash: Unchained

After Unchained won a Grammy for best country album in 1997, Johnny Cash and producer Rick Rubin took out a full-page ad in the March 14th issue of Billboard magazine. The ad featured the famous 1970 photograph of Cash flipping the bird at the camera while performing at San Quentin prison in California. Directly above Cash's middle finger a message appeared: "American Recordings and Johnny Cash would like to acknowledge the Nashville music establishment and country radio for your support."
