One day in January 2005, former Yes keyboard player Rick Wakeman donned a disguise (dark glasses and a wool hat and heavy coat) and busked for half an hour in York city centre for a BBC documentary about the city's system for auditioning buskers (to ensure a reasonable level of quality).

Wakeman (who once performed at Madison Square Gardens and "filled it five nights running") earned a grand total of 14 pence.
