Bottom Line

One wintry day in 2003, Belgian radio DJ Peter Van de Veire bet that a version of Puddle of Mudd's "She Hates Me" by the classical Scala Choir would not win a listener-voting contest on his station (Studio Brussels).

Having lost (thanks in part to a campaign by rival DJs), Van de Veire promptly made good on his promise -- and ran through Brussels main market square wearing nothing but a pink feather on his backside.

["The words were out of my mouth before I realised what I had said," he later explained. "Some tourists looked quite amazed and some shouts came from the police station on the market place but no one came out to ask for my papers. Next time I'll think twice before promising to run around naked -- or I'll do it in the summertime!"]
