Rabelais' Domino

One day not long before his death, an ailing Rabelais donned a domino (a cloak and mask), in which he was seen sitting beside his bed. Reproached for trivializing his serious condition, Rabelais replied, "Beati qui in Domino moriuntur" (Blessed are they who die in the Lord -- or, of course, in a domino!)
