When it was released in France, Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom, a sleeper hit in English-speaking nations around the globe, was given a title meaning "Ballroom Dancing". People assumed that the film was a documentary and, needless to say, it promptly pirouetted into oblivion.
