Bully For Taft

When the son of a bombastic businessman was expelled from the exclusive Taft School in Watertown, Connecticut, his irate father, determined to have the boy reinstated, stormed into Horace Taft's office unannounced. "Mr. Taft," he growled, "you think you can run this school any damned way you please, don't you?"

Taft regarded the man with surprising calm before replying. "Your manner is crude and your language vulgar," he declared, "but you have somehow got the point."
