In 1981, Ronald Reagan discovered that House Speaker Tip O'Neill's desk had once belonged to former president Grover Cleveland. "You know," Reagan proudly declared, "I once played Grover Cleveland in the movies!"

Reagan had in fact played Grover Cleveland Alexander -- a baseball player.
