Tubby Tribute

Shortly after Australian cricket captain Mark "Tubby" Taylor tied Sir Don Bradman's 68-year-old Australian record score of 334 runs in an international match (in a game against Pakistan in 1998), a newspaper advertisement for toilet paper appeared. "Tubby," it read, "it's good to see you with the runs again!"

[Although the team had voted for him to continue to bat, Taylor declared his side's innings closed after he had tied the record. The 90 year old Bradman, widely regarded as the world's greatest batsman, sent a telegram of congratulations.]
