Josh Hartnett - career advice

Shortly after the release of Pearl Harbor, Josh Hartnett appeared as a guest on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Hartnett was asked by his host whether he had ever failed any subjects in high school.

"I don't know, maybe," he replied with the hint of a smile. "I tried not to all the time, but you know it just kinda happened. No -- you know, I just... I never did my homework, that was the thing," he explained, turning to address the audience. "You guys should do your homework, 'cause you know..."

"Yeah," Leno interjected, "or you might end up in a major league blockbuster movie! Excellent advice for the young people. Don't study 'cause you might end up making out with Kate

[Beckinsale] in a movie!"

["I used to skip school once a week to ski patrol, 'cause I was still in high school," New Mexico native Freddie Prinze Jr. once told Leno. "But don't skip school because it's bad... I had 52 absences in my winter semester. I got suspended, but that's the way it goes."]
