According to his sparring partner, Bruce 'The Mouse' Strauss (famed for his abysmal career and penchant for being knocked out) sometimes went too far. "Mouse always goes too far actually," he remarked. "I've seen him drink a beer that a fan offered him -- during the fight. And he tries to chat up round-card girls while they walk around the ring."

Indeed, on one occasion Mouse, after being knocked out, feigned extensive injuries so that he could stay in a hospital for two months and court an attractive nurse. She later became Mrs Mouse.
