A hapless journalist once asked Russell Crowe what was happening with his band "40 Odd Foot of Grunge."

"When I came up with the name of the band, I wanted to come up with something unique," he replied, fixing the woman with a withering gaze, "that you'd remember."

The room dissolved into laughter: The band's name? "30 Odd Foot of Grunts."
