Inaugural Yapper

Following his election in 1841, President William Henry Harrison delivered the longest inaugural address in American history (almost twice as long as any other). The speech, nearly two hours (8,445 words) long, was foolishly delivered during a snowfall by a hatless, coatless Harrison. As a result, he promptly caught pneumonia and was dead within a month.

[He should have known better: Ironically, Harrison was the first (and thus far only) American president to have studied to become a doctor.]
