Budding Ambition

An early indication of Jim Carrey's ambition arrived one day in 1972 when he sent his resume to the producers of the "Carol Burnett Show." In 1972, Jim Carrey was ten years old.

[By ten, Carrey had also tried to get a book of his poems published. According to biographer Dominic Wills, "He'd wear his tap shoes to bed in case his parents needed cheering up in the night -- evidently he already had the capacity to be incredibly annoying."]

[Carrey's description for the location of his Brentwood home? "About a mile and a half from the bloody glove."]
