Dame Edna & Sandy Duncan

During her "Royal Tour" in 1999, Dame Edna Everage regularly told her audiences not to be too noisy. "The possums next door at Chicago will hear what a real audience sounds like," she joked. "Little Sandy Duncan will have a glass pressed up against the wall listening."

Word soon got back to Duncan, who skittered through Shubert Alley during the play's intermission one evening and interrupted The Royal Tour's second act to playfully present Dame Edna with a photo of the show's entire cast listening through glasses pressed against a wall at the adjoining theatre.
