"I saw your father, and would have been fascinated to meet him. If I had known you, I could have said, 'I know your son in London,' and introduced myself."

"That wouldn't have done you any good," Nubar replied. "My father has instructed all the members of his family that we are not to introduce anybody to him. He says he has met everybody he wants to know."
