Allied Lines?

While inspecting a British section of the Allied lines one day after the successful Normandy invasion in France, Dwight Eisenhower and his party were strafed by a fleet of Nazi warplanes and forced to dive for cover.

The planes safely out of view, a senior British officer raced over to check on Eisenhower and -- finding him unharmed -- expressed his profound relief that he had not been hit.

Ike in turn thanked the officer for his concern. "Oh," he bluntly replied, "my concern was just that nothing should happen to you in my sector."
