In November 2002, Colin Montgomerie entered the Volvo Masters tournament in Spain having won at least one major tournament each year for several years running. Tied after the last round, Montgomerie found himself in a playoff with Bernhard Langer.

Montgomerie kept his winning streak alive when, with the match still undecided after two playoff holes, the tournament was stopped and a draw awarded. Why? The course was so dark that car headlights were being used to light the green!
