Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy

In 1972, in a bid to promote his latest film, Frenzy (in which London is terrorised by a vicious sex killer known as the neck tie murderer), Alfred Hitchcock floated a life-sized dummy down the Thames river. The dummy's model? Alfred Hitchcock, of course.

["Television's great contribution," Hitchcock once declared, "is that it brought murder into the home where it belongs."]
