Good Actor

Hayden Christensen's parents had high expectations for their beloved son. (He began acting only because they wanted to get him into Unionville, a prestigious high school outside the boundaries of their home district in Ontario.)

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Christensen kept his smoking hidden from his parents. His secret was safe until, one day during the filming of Attack of the Clones, his father saw a picture of the young star... with a cigarette in his mouth.

[For his role as a druggy, conflicted, pierced teenager in Life as a House, Christensen had to lose 25 pounds (and perform an act of auto-erotic asphyxiation while wearing blue eyeshadow).]
