Ty Cobb was among the most widely-loathed players in baseball history -- and not just for his antics on the field. Though Cobb made a small fortune as one of the first shareholders of Coca-Cola, he collected old bars of soap from the locker-room shower stalls and sent them home to be used by sharecroppers on the farm he owned in Georgia.
