Novel Idea

In 2003, Johann Christian Lotter and Reinhard Rael Wissdorf, convinced that the building style of the 1960s had "destroyed Frankfurt again after the Second World War," wrote a detective novel called Downtown, in which ugly buildings are victimized by a serial killer. Among the killer's tools? A streetcar (driven into a building), a crane (collapsed onto a building), and a good old fashioned wrecking ball.
