Actor-author-broadcaster Harry Shearer, best known for his role as dozens of different characters on The Simpsons, once hosted "Le Show" on National Public Radio. While his weekly hour-long broadcasts usually mixed commentary and comedy, laced with interviews "and records I like," listeners could never be sure what to expect. "One week I had a very bad cold," Shearer recalled. "So I just played Mahler's First Symphony and said, 'See you next week!'"
